Downloading the Creator app and using it does not incur costs from Off the Grid. However, the system connects to your Square account, which has costs of their own. If you already have a Square account, nothing changes. If you are new to Square, here is some useful information regarding costs.

Will I need to buy the app?
No, the Creator app is free to Off the Grid creators. It will be available for download soon, more communication to come regarding training and download information.
Do I need new hardware or pos?

Do I have to pay a monthly fee?

How will this impact my business at Off the Grid?
You will need a Square account to participate in Off the Grid Market events (And will then need to link it to your Off The Grid Portal. Upcoming training will be available soon to assist with navigating and discovering more of the Creator app and your business.
WIll Off the Grid have full access to my account?
Absolutely not! We understand that business outside of Off the Grid is private, this is why we will only have permission to integrate reportings from our own events. This to enhance and help give better insights about guests who visit Off the Grid Markets.
Are you recommending to start a whole new Square account specific to OTG?
No. If you currently have Square as your POS provider, you will be able to connect with your own account into the Creator App integration. We will have training available to help you set up your account once the App is public.

Yes. Off the Grid will require all creators to have a square account in order to participate in any of our events. I don’t want to change POS but I want to keep working with OTG. What should I do?
What if I cannot afford new hardware?
For those concerned about not having a Square POS, please contact our Creator Success team so that we can work with you to mitigate any issues with this change.
How can I prevent my accounting records from getting mixed up?
Using the desktop version of Off the Grid, you will be able to download payment information to upload into your Quickbooks or merge into any datasheets you are currently using. We will have more information as we get close to launching the Creator App.
